The IP66 protection class is common to the two lines of electric motors: SM and EC.
We introduced the innovative AC motors of the SM line, which add to their IP66 class their compact dimensions compared to the standard. Motors with power between 0.025 and 2.2 kW, single-phase and three-phase supply at 50-60 Hz.
The EC series of DC motors has been part of our range of products for some time. Now, we have upgraded it to the point of achieving IP66 certification for it.
SM: Innovative AC Motors
A terminal block cover that is compact and essential, with seals, O-ring and cable gland.
End shield designed for excellent interior protection through radial seal rings, O-rings and closed mounting holes.
These are the technical features introduced at the design stage that make these motorsI P66 certified and that, as a second value added, include also reduced dimensions thanks to the square anodised extruded casing.
The third value added feature is the high efficiency thanks to the magnetic sheet steel type M800-50 A (IE1 motors) and M400-50 A (IE3 motors).

EC, DC motors even better than before
The EC range of DC motors features protection class IP66 in accordance with the International Protection Regulation IEC/EN 60529.
These DC motors are equipped with endbell designed for excellent internal protection through radial seal rings, O-ring and closed mounting holes.
Equipped with IP66, they range in power from 50W to 800W.
