Gearmotors for outdoor applications are designed to withstand adverse environmental conditions, such as humidity, dust and water jets. In this context, anodized gearmotors with IP66 protection represent an ideal solution.
We have therefore developed the CL series of wormgearmotors, available with both DC and AC motorization, with IP66 protection and anodized black surface.
The IP66 protection ensures that the gearmotor is completely protected against the ingress of dust and powerful water jets from any direction, making them ideal for outdoor environments. Furthermore, anodizing the gearmotor body provides a layer of protection against corrosion, improving resistance to atmospheric agents and increasing the life of the component. The anodizing process creates an aluminum oxide coating that is hard and resistant to wear.
Other fundamental elements for gearmotors used in outdoor applications are the waterproof gaskets between the flange and motor, output shaft and stainless steel screws, and the Washdown Cover, made of black anodized aluminum and equipped with an O ring gasket and captive screws.
