IP66 electric motors
The new one-of-a-kind SM series alternated current electrical motor is IP66.
Compact and essential terminal block cover with seals, o-ring and cable gland. Front and rear shell designed for an excellent performance, with radial seal rings, o-rings and closed fastening holes.
The same applies to the EC series direct current motors. Motors designed to maintain a high level of protection, even with the accessories installed (brake and encoder).

Washdown cover
For worm screw and perpendicular axes reducers, the washdown cover is available on stock – the ideal solution to protect reducers in heavy-duty conditions or where cleaning is essential.
The washdown cover has the following characteristics:
- Black anodized aluminium cover
- Seal o-ring
- Captive screws
This accessory has many benefits, including a longer reducer life, thanks to an increased oxidation protection.
And also shaft and oil baffle protection, regardless of the weather conditions on the work site.
And. last but not least, reduced maintenance requirements, which lead to less hours of manpower.

Motor seal
Sometimes, there can be leakages between the reducer and the electric motor; in this case the waterproof seal between the flange entrance and the motor prevents any damage.
This rubber seal is designed to protect the entire gear motor group.
Rubber seals are simple, yet very effective (and often overlooked) accessories. Features:
- Long term vapour and water resistance
- Constant mechanical properties, also in case of temperature changes
- Less maintenance

Stainless steel output shaft
For some types of gearboxes, stainless steel output shafts, bolts and screws are value-added elements for outdoor gearmotors.
These options are available for CM-CL worm gearboxes, CMB bevel helical gearboxes, FT shaft mounted gearboxes, and CMG helical gearboxes.
Stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance in heavy-duty weather conditions. This translates into lower maintenance requirements and higher retention of the mechanical characteristics in a wide range of temperatures.

Surface anodizing
Aluminium surface anodizing is the perfect treatment for several weather conditions.
Anodizing:
- Protects against corrosion
- Has an excellent UV radiation exposure resistance
- Increases hardness and strength
- Applies a thin and even layer on all gearboxes parts
